Shortly after taking over from Elon Musk at the head of Twitter, Linda Yaccarino , the new CEO of the social network , wanted to make it clear that she will not stand in the way of the South African businessman's particular (and controversial) vision of the 2.0 platform.
In her first mass email to Twitter staff (which was later tweeted by herself on the social network with the little bird) Yaccarino has revealed that her intention is to run the company in the same way that Elon Musk has done to date.
Twitter's new CEO intends to continue with Elon estonia phone number data Musk 's vision of the social network as a sort of "public square" and will therefore continue to play along with freedom of expression raised to the maximum power (the same that has brought so many problems to the platform over the course of the last few months).
«Twitter has a mission to become the most accurate source of real-time information and a global public square in terms of communication. And this is not an empty promise. It is our reality,» he emphasizes.
“Have you ever talked to someone particularly insightful and thought that you should be free to say what you think? We all should. Welcome to Twitter 2.0 ,” Yaccarino asserts. The “public square” that is Twitter, however, needs to be transformed so that “civilization can advance through the unfiltered exchange of information and open dialogue about the things that matter most to us,” says the new CEO of the microblogging network.
It just so happens that Yaccarrino's vision of Twitter as a sort of "public square" has brought no small number of problems to the blue bird social network over the course of the last few months. Not in vain, the unfettered freedom of expression that Elon Musk champions has caused the flight of more than half of advertisers and the outbreak of a furious wave of propaganda, hate and spam on Twitter.
Linda Yaccarino clears up doubts: Twitter is Elon Musk's "ship", she is alone at the helm
