Your inbox can clutter your mind
In a certain sense, email is the meeting point between two or more strangers, or between users and brands, or between merely work-related connections, but it is far from being practical for conversations between friends or family.
For this reason, email (or inbox) can become overwhelming for many people, especially those senior corporate managers who receive hundreds of emails a day.
Based on the above, it is already widely anticipated that in the near future (perhaps 2020) there will be a major change in email, conducted through digital assistants or “ voicebots ”, such as Amazon Alexa or Microsoft Cortana .
Digital assistants today
Digital assistants today are very focused on providing immediate responses and actions to the needs of their "owners", which range from searching for a link to raising a potential purchase on the Internet:
But, as we have already mentioned, this incredible capacity could also be used telecommunications email list in the context of email, and the truth is that it is not a far-fetched idea.
For example, Alexa and Cortana can now “read” the emails in your inbox and discern which emails are important to you; of course, that doesn’t mean they manage or respond to them for you, but at least they can now identify what really interests you.
The above suggests that, in the not-too-distant future (and we confirm this), these digital assistants will actually manage your email , providing automated responses but with a human touch, like true assistants; this way, as a user, you can spend a greater part of your time on the Internet for other purposes (whether productive or social).
Lead generation and email marketing techniques
Conclusions?
Although there is still a lot of work to be done, the foundations of artificial intelligence in email seem to have already been laid with digital assistants (something that goes far beyond what Google Inbox can do today, for example).
Tell us, do you use digital assistants in your daily life today? Would it be useful for you to have assistants like Alexa or Cortana managing your email? What pros and cons do you see in this possible future? We would love to hear from you.
