Artificial intelligence (AI) has ceased to be a futuristic concept and has become a practical, accessible and powerful tool, not only for large corporations, but also for small and medium-sized businesses. Are you already using the full power of algorithms to grow your business? If not, don't worry, at BGAN Lab we'll tell you what these algorithms really are, what types exist and how your business can benefit from them.

What is an artificial intelligence algorithm?
Algorithms are the engine that powers AI, automating tasks, optimizing processes, and helping you make more informed decisions. Leveraging AI algorithms may seem challenging, but the benefits are impressive—from campaign personalization to task automation.

An algorithm, in simple terms, is a set of instructions or rules that a machine follows to solve a problem or perform a task. When we talk about artificial intelligence algorithms, we are referring to computer programs designed to simulate certain human capabilities, such as learning, pattern recognition, or decision-making.

Unlike traditional algorithms that follow predetermined rules, AI algorithms can learn and adapt to circumstances over time. This is especially useful when problems do not have clear solutions from the start or when conditions are constantly changing.

For example, an AI algorithm could analyze a store’s sales data and learn which products are most in demand at each time of year, adjusting inventory recommendations accordingly. Instead of relying solely on historical data or static rules, algorithms can predict trends, optimize campaigns in real time, and improve customer experience. So if you run a business and are looking for more efficient ways to attract customers, AI algorithms may be exactly what you need.

But are all algorithms the same? The truth is that each one has a different email marketing list way of working. Knowing these differences is important to understand how each AI works and to be able to get the most out of them.

1. Supervised learning algorithms
This type of algorithm learns from labeled examples. That is, it is given a set of input data along with the correct answer, and the algorithm “learns” to associate the input with the output. Once trained, it can make predictions or classifications on new data.

For example, if you run an online store, you can use a supervised learning algorithm to predict what type of products a customer will prefer based on their past purchases. Companies use this type of AI to personalize the customer experience, to predict product demand, and to personalize campaigns.

2. Unsupervised learning algorithms
Unlike supervised learning, the algorithm is not given labels or correct answers. Instead, it is asked to find hidden patterns or structures in the data.

This type of algorithm is useful for segmenting customers into groups based on their purchasing behaviors or preferences. For example, if you run a digital marketing company, you could use an unsupervised algorithm to discover groups of customers who respond best to different types of advertising campaigns.
