How did you get over 210,000 followers on YouTube?
X: Nothing is achieved without effort, dedication, and passion. One of the most important aspects is consistency. We publish two videos a week and form a great team. We enjoy it.

There's a lot of competition on YouTube and in this specific sector, and very few people are able to dedicate themselves professionally to it . Although we have many followers and views, Google doesn't monetize it as much as we'd like. For this reason, we're in the process of looking for alternatives to generate more income.

Well, aside from consistency, it's important to know who your audience is, who you're targeting . The recipe book is designed so everyone can enjoy traditional cuisine, tasty desserts, pastries, traditional bread recipes...

X: Yes, the truth is... it's delicious, have you tried it? You should... You often find that there are certain recipes that are popular, the beer chicken is spectacular, like many other recipes, this one in particular has had a huge impact, sometimes you don't quite understand why, since we apply more or less the same formula in all the recipes.
Your Facebook fan engagement rates are sky-high. What are the keys to achieving this?
X: Publish content, publish content, and… publish content, and try not to leave a single comment unanswered . We've always published our recipes, our content, and never, at least for now, have we run any Facebook Ads campaigns. YouTube followers have been the ones who have nourished our Facebook fan page , and it's this page that is nourishing our site .

As I've already mentioned, it's important to be clear about your audience, what they're looking for , what they expect from you, and what you can offer them. That's all there is to it, and it's no small feat.

Do you plan to implement any new features at El Forner d'Alella in the future?
X: Yes, right now we are finishing the last stock of recipes that we had planned to publish, we want to boost the networks, make followers more involved , and for the audiovisual content we are going to edit the videos to make them more dynamic and agile .

We strongly believe in Facebook as a social network, especially for our target audience. This social network is also heavily investing in audiovisual formats . This network allows us to promote all our content, so we're updating recipes we've already published.

Xavier, you're a sociologist by training. Why did you decide to focus your career on digital marketing?
X: Well… life often opens new paths for you. I saw an opportunity, I liked it and here I am, I continue learning which is what I like the most.

No change is easy. To what extent is training at IIMN helping you achieve your goals?
X: Thanks to the master's learning I have managed to resolve many doubts I had, the progress has been extraordinary , I have the tools, the sources of information, I have become more autonomous and more confident.
