Would you like to learn about different business strategies and market your hotel more effectively? In this article we present some tips for a successful hotel marketing plan.

Why would I need a hotel marketing plan?
Whether you run a small hotel or a large hotel chain, whether your hotel is newly established or looking to renovate, there are certain daily challenges that you inevitably face as a hotelier. Examples of these could be meeting guest demand or achieving set goals. These goals are often formulated at random or based on the feelings of one of the owners. The process to follow in order to create a good marketing plan should go further and attract more attention than we think.

“Make sure your marketing plan list of germany consumer email doesn’t become a monster, but is constructive and focuses on the essential and basic elements. It’s not worth spending a lot of time on it if you’re not going to implement it in the end,” says Andrés Romero, project manager at Asiri Marketing.

In order to be useful and in line with your objectives, the marketing plan must be able to be used in daily operations. There are many factors that must be taken into account so you must give it full attention and enough time. The intention of making a marketing plan will not be enough so it must be updated periodically (at least once a year) and be consistent with your business strategy. This article aims to give an approximation of how to create a marketing plan while serving as a tool to stay focused and be more competitive.

Prerequisites for a hotel marketing plan
Every process has its preconditions, in this case it is about having a clear business strategy and knowing what marketing objectives you need. To do this, you should take a bird's eye view of your hotel and ask yourself some interesting questions:

Who is our target audience?
Why should this public come to our accommodation instead of going to other hotels? What differential value do we offer to our clients?
Do we know our competition?
What is our strong point?
What products and services do we offer to the customer? Which of them should be enhanced or improved?
Do we know our hotel’s weaknesses?
What is our philosophy/mission/vision?
