Did you know that consortium professionals have a day to call their own? It's October 9th, established over 30 years ago by ABAC, an association that represents associated consortium administrators.
In 1988, the then ABAC board decided to award the professional of the year. The rules for competing for the award were released on October 9 of that year. Due to its success, the award continued to be held in the following years, always on the same date. Later, when it was already consolidated, it was chosen by the board to be the Consortium Professional Day.
Initially, this date was aimed at consortium sales professionals, but, over time, it began to encompass all professionals working in the sector.
“This great team is responsible for the success of the consortium. Without venezuela whatsapp list the unique performance of each one, we would not have such a strong and consolidated sector, capable of making so many dreams come true. After all, today alone, there are almost 10 million Brazilians participating in consortium groups. This is without considering the many achievements over the more than 60 years of existence of the modality. To all, our gratitude and recognition”, says Paulo Roberto Rossi, executive president of ABAC.
Publication of the Consortium Law
Another event contributed to making this day even more special. By a “happy coincidence,” as the legal department manager reveals, on October 9, 2008, an important historical milestone occurred for the Consortium System. It was on this date that the long-awaited Law 11,795, better known as the “Consortium Law,” was published in the Official Gazette of the Union.
Certification for Consortium Professionals
It was also in October 2018 that ABAC launched a bold project focused on the development of the sector: the Certification for Consortium Professionals (PCA-10) .
Recognized by the Central Bank of Brazil – an agency that regulates, coordinates, supervises, monitors and controls the activities of the Consortium System –, the PCA-10 aims to attest to the level of technical knowledge of the professional who works with consortiums and promote good practices in customer service.
To be certified, the candidate must purchase a registration to take the exam and obtain 70% of correct answers in the overall calculation, complying with the proportionality and weight of each module, and as long as none of them are zeroed. Those who wish to prepare for the exam can also enroll in the Consortium Training Course, also provided by ABAC. To learn more about the course and certification, visit: certificacaoabac.org.br .
