This checklist will walk you through several tools and reports in our software that you can use to research keywords, study competitors, plan ad groups, and track rankings for a campaign, all with the goal of improving your pay per click management .

1. Keyword Research
Keywords are the heart of marketing: finding the right keywords will bring boost your business with our doctor database conversions to your site.

SEMrush offers data for hundreds of millions of keywords . You probably already know how to find volume and cost per click, but you could take it a step further and learn how to measure competitive keyword density, search keywords from the Bing US database, or export a million keywords to .csv. Would you like to do all that?

Simply go to the Keyword Analysis area . Start by entering any word or phrase into the search bar to view the Keyword Overview report with this information.

Enter a keyword into the Phrase Match report (1) to see a list of the longest search phrases that contain your keyword. Use this report to find low-volume searches with more specific search intent that you can target with a relevant landing page.

Enter a keyword in the Related Keywords report (2) to see a list of related searches closest to your keyword based on the similarity of the results pages.

Enter a keyword into the Ad History report (3) to see the list of advertisers bidding and ranking in the top paid positions on Google for that keyword over the last twelve months.
