3 Do you need a website for your business?
Company website, why, how much and for whom? With the current advertising possibilities through Social Media channels, does a company website make sense at all? Learn about the dangers that may await you if you do not have one!

Sometimes I meet a person running a business, whether it is on a larger scale or a start-up, who wonders what advertising channel to choose and only considers Social Media, forgetting that it is the most unstable place to advertise a company, why? I will answer in today's material.

9 reasons why it's worth having a website
1. Do people still search on Google?

When you are looking for a service or product, where do you belize business email list reach for an opinion? Data shows that most users still search in the Google browser. Of course, they also come across Social Media, ask questions in local or thematic groups, but when researching a topic or looking for addresses, they look in the search engine. Therefore, this is the first place where a customer meets a solution to a problem or need. If you are a local parts store and you do not appear in the search engine for the phrase "parts for Ford Radom", it is more than certain that the person will search in more distant locations and probably will not come to you.

I see big mistakes made by local businesses here who think they will need a company website sometime in the future. They focus on creating creative posts on Social Media that will be seen by a small segment of people who do not need their service at the moment.

2. Why do you throw content in the trash?

This point relates to the previous one. You may already see it, and if not, you will soon notice it in your actions. A big problem of social media is the rapid expiration of content. An example? Usually, what we posted a week ago has fallen to the bottom and whoever saw it, saw it, but no one will search our board for the content they need. The layout of the board on Facebook resembles announcements, which have a value of up to 24 hours, sometimes up to 48. Remember how long it took you to come up with an idea for a post, create it, don't you regret it?

The company website and its content are arranged according to importance, supported by reinforced CTA messages, color, and font size. Thanks to this, after entering the website, the customer is navigated. The appearance is clear. What's more, we know when they entered, for how long, and we even have demographic information, thanks to Google Analytics, we collect statistics that can help us create better messages and reach our customers.

3. Every second adult in Poland does not have Facebook?

When creating content for potential customers, we often do not know who they really are. What if 50% of our potential customers do not have Social Media? Did you know that the number of Internet users visiting Facebook daily at the end of December last year was 1.929 million (source: wirtualnemedia.pl). Remember to let yourself be found by someone who does not have a Social Media account. The number of Facebook users in Poland is about 17 million people (as of 2020), while the number of adult people in our country is about 38 million people (data from gov.pl 2020). We can say that every 2nd adult uses Facebook, but also that every 2nd does not use it, and what if some of those who do not have Facebook are your customers?

4. Do you have an influence on a professional image on social media?

I probably don't need to say much about this. In point 2 I mentioned the layout and navigation, and here I will mention the brand aesthetics, consistency or style, which you have 100% influence on your company website. On the other hand, on social media to a small extent, you can only adjust banners, name, feed appearance, but not the colors of the bars, CTA and the entire layout. To this day, there is a belief that a company with a website, by the very fact of having it, has increased trust in the customer. We can, and even should, place company data on the website, which affects the belief in trust in the purchase or transaction.

5. Changes, changes and can Facebook block you?

If you have been active on Social Media for 2 years or more, you know that the number of changes, "conveniences", updates that Facebook has been introducing in recent years and months can give you a headache and sometimes a heart attack! In 2020, there were a lot of these changes, to the point that my 7-hour course on 11 settings on this channel, which I spent about 3 months creating, went to the trash...

You have full control over your website, or at least you should, because I know of cases where the person creating the website or dealing with its administration did not provide full access – be careful with that!

Let's remember that Social Media blocks advertising of certain content, obvious is pornography or alcohol, but there have been cases of blocking a fashion account that used photos of a wholesaler despite their consent, or even a block for using music for an advertising video from a legal stock. The profile campaign was suspended for several hours, time was lost, unnecessary stress and explanations were triggered to waiting customers.
