7.1 How to prepare for writing a blog? How to start writing a blog?
Blogs became popular a few years ago and despite the rise of Social Media, they are still doing very well and their owners earn a fortune by describing products, recipes, services and basically everything in every industry and aspect of life! How to start a blog?

A blog was initially considered a way to share one's passions, skills or to practice one's writing skills. Over time, blogs have evolved into photoblogs or even videoblogs. When combined with Social Media channels, they provide huge reach and earnings. But what can you do to make a blog profitable? How can you start to make it work?

(1) The main topic of the blog
You can write about anything and everything. For some reason, the thought of a blog has sprouted in your head, do you have a specific idea for it? Or maybe you are already writing for a so-called pigeonhole and you finally want to show it to the world? Maybe you have always been passionate about cooking and want to publish your own recipes on the blog? Or maybe you want to report on your travels or share gardening tips? Every idea is good! What is worth paying attention to at the beginning is to barbados business email list write about a specific topic, industry and not to spread yourself into several different ones. Of course, there are lifestyle blogs, in which the owners describe fashion, beauty as well as their holiday trips or favorite recipes, but these blogs were created at a time when there were not many of them on the market. They were governed by different rules. Now it is worth building your image as an expert in a specific field and focusing on the details and 1 industry. Over time, when your blog is more visited, you will gain regular readers, you can start other topics and categories. At the beginning, however, focus on one. Do you already have a main topic for your blog? I will try to write a few articles in the file.

(2) A typical blog, photoblog or maybe a video blog?
In the next phase, determine the type and method of content publication. Do you want to create a classic text blog? Or maybe you will also create photos or even videos for entries? It is worth determining the type of content, because the appearance of the blog will depend on it.

(3) Choose a blogging platform
You may have already done a little review of what you can use to create a blog. If so, you can see that you have several platforms to choose from. If not, I will briefly describe a few of them for you. The most frequently chosen and most recommended platform is WordPress, which I also recommend to you. I do not know its flaws, I have been running blogs on WordPress for over 12 years. I have gone through several blogging systems and only this one has not disappointed me. Its main advantages are simple operation in Polish, very flexible adjustment, zero financial outlay or security. Other systems to run are: bloglovin, blogspot or blogger. Each of these 3 is quite intuitive and has similar advantages to a blog on WordPress, but it has one disadvantage. You (or rather your blog) are addicted to these platforms. You do not know how long these services will exist, they are not flexible enough in terms of customizing their appearance and they have several paid functions. A definite minus is also the name that is displayed next to the name of your blog, for example, when I had my first blog, it was called patriszjafashion.blogspot.com , do you see that ending? After a few months, I switched to WordPress, among others, because of that ending, which looked bad and did not allow me to develop and monetize my blog, because companies required their own domain. Unfortunately, it cost me a lot to transfer my blog, because I came across a certain exploiter (today I know that it can be done with a few clicks), my statistics dropped and generally it became a mess. So I beg you, do not make this mistake and start blogging on WordPress.
