Burger King Whopper Burger
A group of American consumers has sued Burger King because the photos of the Whopper are misleading. They believe that the burger is 35% larger in the images.
How many times have you ordered a dish at a restaurant, seduced by the photo on the menu, only to be disappointed when it arrived at the table? Well, this is what a group of American consumers is complaining about, having sued Burger King because they believe that the photos of the Whopper are misleading.
According to BBC , a Miami court has received a complaint alleging that Burger King presents adulterated photographs of its products , where they appear up to 35% larger than they actually are.
In addition, the complainants believe that the burgers appear meatier and the ingredients even overflow the bun . In fact, they estimate that the Whopper has twice as much meat in the photos than the one actually served.

According to the text to which the BBC has had access , these customers believe that this is false advertising for the burgers and think that it constitutes a crime of negligence and unjust enrichment .
However, the judge dismissed the lawsuits based on television and Internet ads, arguing that Burger King does not promise a certain size or weight of the burger in any of these spots , so it would not be breaking its word.
“The grilled beef patties featured in our advertising are the same ones used in the millions of Whopper sandwiches we serve to customers nationwide,” Burger King said in a statement following the ruling.
