Post by tmonower958 »

In order to implement the Snapchat Conversions API on your website, a number of simple requirements must be met. The following things must already be in place:

Snapchat advertising account: You must have an active advertising account set up with Snapchat and have completed setting up Snapchat Ads Manager.
Snap Pixel: Your website must already have a Snap Pixel set up. If you don't have one yet, the next chapter explains how to set it up.
Snapchat App ID: You must have a Snapchat App ID if you are bangladesh whatsapp phone number an app operator. This is a unique identifier that is used to identify your app. You can also use Snap Pixel ID and App ID in parallel.
Administrator privileges: You must be an organization administrator on your Snapchat advertising account to set up the Snapchat Conversions API.

If you fulfill all four points, you can go straight to the chapter “Creating a Snapchat Conversions API”. Otherwise, we will now take care of setting up the required tools.

Creating and integrating Snap Pixel
As already described, it is necessary that you have integrated a Snap Pixel on your website and that it is active. The first data should already have entered the pixel, for example page views or the first conversions achieved. You can find the Snap Pixel in the Snapchat Ads Manager under the menu item “Assets” -> “Events Manager”.

There you have to create a new event source and select “Create Snap Pixel” in the wizard. Now you select either “Web” for websites or “App” for apps. You then have to agree to Snap’s data protection regulations. Please note that the Snap Pixel is a marketing advertising pixel and therefore, in accordance with European data protection laws, may only be fired with the consent of the users. You usually obtain approval for the advertising pixel via your cookie banner. If you don’t have a cookie banner yet, you can find out more about setting it up here .

There are two ways to integrate the Snap Pixel into your website. You can either insert the pixel's JavaScript code directly into your site using a tag manager (e.g. Google Tag Manager) or you can use one of Snap's versatile partner integrations. In our example, we choose the manual option using Google Tag Manager and click on "Manual Setup" in the setup wizard.

We then need to select the events that we want to measure with the Snap Pixel. It is necessary that you select at least “Page View”. Depending on your business model, however, you should also select the other events. For an online shop, for example, all e-commerce events and for a website with which you want to generate leads, the “Sign up” event. You will then be asked whether you want to allow the pixel to automatically compare user data. The pixel will then try to automatically compare the data of your website visitors with the data on Snapchat.

The JavaScript code of the Snap Pixel is now displayed in the middle of the Snap Ads Manager. We copy this and go to the “Tags” section in the Google Tag Manager. If you don’t have a Google Tag Manager on your site yet, you can find out more about setting it up in this article .
