The editorial staff of “Burda” approached us in July 2016. The company came with the application “Ideas for Your Home”, which is available for download in the App Store and Google Play.
The application is a catalog in which users can find the latest issue of the magazine and download it. The magazine itself contains bright, juicy images with a user-friendly interface:

Step 1. We developed an optimal app name for Google Play that contains the necessary keys for promotion. Together with the client, we considered the following options:

Step 2. Optimized the application logo and short name for search.
The concept of the logo conveys the meaning of the application, so it should be bright and eye-catching.
Before optimization, the logo was dark - this did not contribute to high-quality communication between the brand and customers. We analyzed competitors' logos - many applications used interior elements in the logo design.
Having discussed the details with the editorial staff of Burda and the designer, we settled on the following option:

Step 3. The next step was optimizing the text content of the application in the Google Play store. Our specialists compiled a Technical Assignment for writing a full and short description.
An important point is that the description field is limited to 80 characters and it is necessary to concentrate the main idea of the application and use the keys as much as possible. As a result, we received an optimized description that presents the advantages of the application for users.

In order for users to download the application, they need to be interested. This task was accomplished by bright, high-quality screenshots that show the content of the application, its design, and some of the useful information that users will receive.

One of the criteria for promotion to the TOP is a high rating and good reviews. To do this, you need to make sure that users give you a higher rating and write positive reviews.
A quick response to user problems has a positive effect on the rating. This encourages customers to write positive reviews and give a higher rating.
For the mobile app “Ideas for Your Home”, we encouraged users to write reviews, and also responded to them quickly. All the ASO work done influenced the promotion in the rating.
Step 6. Implementing Google Analytics and connecting to Google Play.
