At the heart of LactApp is a story of personal improvement that gave rise to a revolutionary project. The founders, María Berruezo and Alba Padró, lived through a challenging experience when, five weeks after María's second baby was born, they were both run over by a car. Despite the complexity of the situation, the baby was safe. However, María had to stay in the hospital for two months before returning home. The importance of breastfeeding motivated her to continue, and with the invaluable help of Alba, an international breastfeeding consultant and now, current co-founder, María was able to recover her baby's breastfeeding.
“I told Alba that I wanted to download her brain onto a mobile phone and make her knowledge accessible to all mothers. She said yes.” From this experience, the idea of LactApp was born: making it not a matter of luck to receive the right support.
