Elon Musk's brain implant company wants to recruit patients with tetraplegia caused by spinal cord injuries or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Participants in the experiment will be implanted with a chip in the region of the brain that controls movement with the help of a robot developed by Neuralink, with the ultimate goal of allowing them to control a computer's cursor or keyboard telepathically.

The experiment undertaken by list of taiyuan cell phone numbers Neuralink will evaluate the security and functionality of this technology, as the company assures in a statement.

Neuralink's announcement comes several months after the FDA gave the green light to its experiment. Previous animal tests had reported that the experiments had caused unnecessary suffering to participants . Indeed, some former company employees have called the experiments "botched." In one case, for example, several pigs were implanted in the wrong position and eventually had to be euthanized. Such accusations led to investigations by several US government departments.

If the experiment that Neuralink is now about to undertake proves safe, it could, however, take several decades before it is applied to patients outside the control group of the test.
