Medical DisclaimerAny drop of wasted whisky is a tragedy the size of a tear. But every year, there is a certain percentage of whisky that no one can stop evaporating from the barrel, no matter how well the barrel is produced and sealed. That percentage is called “the angel’s share.”

The angel’s share amounts to around two percent of the total liquid in the cask — a staggering amount of whiskey lost. But distillers didn’t always understand the process by which their whiskey was disappearing. In the early days of Scotland’s long history of whiskey making, distillers were baffled that there was less whiskey in a finished cask than they laos email list had initially put in. The only way they could explain the phenomenon was that angels were taking a portion of the delicious whiskey out of the casks for themselves as a sort of tax — hence the term “angels’ share.” The longer the whiskey aged, the myth faded, the more the angels taxed it.At the recommended dosage ranges with Mellaril® (thioridazine HCl), most side effects are mild and transient.

Central Nervous System: Drowsiness may occasionally occur, especially when large doses are administered at the beginning of treatment. In general, this effect tends to diminish with continued therapy or a reduction in dosage. Pseudoparkinsonism and other extrapyramidal symptoms may occur, but are infrequent. Cases of nocturnal confusion, hyperactivity, lethargy, psychotic reactions, restlessness and headache have been reported, but are extremely rare.

Autonomic Nervous System: Dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion, and pallor have been observed.

Endocrine system: Galactorrhea, breast engorgement, amenorrhea, inhibition of ejaculation and peripheral edema have been described.
