ImageNet can now recognize images with greater accuracy than humans. Google's facial recognition technology is better than humans at determining whether two images of the face represent the same person.

Senior IT leaders need to be familiar with the components of intelligent machines. They need to understand how to build, deploy, train, and test DNN models. And they need to be aware of how their industry and other relevant industries are using intelligent machines.

According to Gartner , now is the time to invest in AI-rich applications. And look at problems and processes that are well suited for AI and machine learning. For example, customer service, enterprise applications, consumer electronics, and medical devices all have significant opportunities to implement AI using virtual personal assistants, robots, and autonomous vehicles.

Once you've identified a few potential use cases, consider experimenting with one or two where the impact could be high.
