"Our people and country deserve leadership strengthened by unity, full of mission and inspiration at all levels. What can unite the best, if not song and music," says the composer.

Composer Uģ Prauliņš's 52-minute long composition is like a synthesis of academic music and rock opera – a cycle of compositions for choir, solo voices and instrumental ensemble. The text uses both the Bible and prayer texts, as well as the works of ancient, medieval and Renaissance poets in Latin. The composer dressed spiritual music in an unconventional way, combining choir, soloists and several musical instruments with electronic possibilities. The various stylistics interweave both the austerity of ancient music and Renaissance motets, as well as elements of rock. Uģ Prauliņš's work "Odi et amo" received international recognition, and in 1999 it won the main prize of Latvian music recordings.
