6 ideas for creating a birthday email

Post by pappu9268 »

Taking advantage of the fact that a few days ago it was the birthday of one of our team members, we thought it would be a good idea to compile the emails that were sent to him and make a post with ideas for the birthday emails that you send to your subscribers. Let's get to work!

The emails we receive when it is our birthday are part of a type qatar mobile phone number list of campaign called segmented campaigns . This type of campaign is characterized by being sent only to a group of our subscribers, such as a group of inactive users, or by being sent to a specific person, as is the case with the birthday email. Therefore, we could say that the objective is to communicate with a segment of our database to achieve a purpose.
In the case of the birthday email, the purposes or objectives are two:

Build customer loyalty: Wishing your customer a happy birthday is a way of telling them that you are thinking about them and that they are on your mind. It is a detail that will probably make them happy and that will not be a big effort for you either. The subscriber will see you in a good light and you will add one more step to their top of mind.
Achieve a conversion: Many birthday emails accompany the greeting with an attractive discount. The objective is, more or less, to take advantage of the occasion to achieve a sale or conversion while having a nice gesture for the client.
In the emails we have collected, both objectives are clearly reflected:

1. Gif to power

GIFs have been a part of email marketing for some time now, and how! Many brands are using them in their designs to give their emails a creative and fun touch. In this case, we have received several emails containing GIFs to congratulate us on the date, BBVA's is a good example of this. With this simple but beautiful message and the candle GIF, they have managed to give their email a unique touch. Many of you will agree that it completely captures our attention and even makes us want to see it several times.

2. Percentage discounts
The king of birthday emails is here: percentage discounts. In this case, the user is congratulated and given a discount that must be redeemed through a code. It is usually accompanied by a limited duration date and, sometimes, a minimum purchase limit.
In the emails we see below, we can see how Birchbox gives us up to 1 month to use the discount and requires us to spend at least €20. On the other hand, Philips gives us a deadline of 14 days but does not set a cost limit for the purchase.

3. Discount coupon

The discount coupon is also one of the gifts that we usually find in birthday emails. It is a way of not linking the discount offered with the value of the purchase made by the person. In this way, there is greater control over the discount that is given. As in the previous case, it is normally linked to an expiration date and a cost limit on the purchase. In the birthday email sent by FNAC , they give away a €10 discount, but a minimum purchase must be made of €50. As for the period to use the voucher, this is very short, it expires on May 26, 10 days after receiving it.
