1. State fund for higher value housing. Mivivienda now finances apartments whose maximum price reaches 70 UIT (S/.266 thousand). Before, it gave loans for units of up to 50 UIT.

2. Second-hand purchases. The Mivivienda Fund is also channelling resources through banks to facilitate the granting of mortgage loans and the acquisition of second-hand homes.
According to this state program, this type of construction is between 15% and 20% cheaper than brand new apartments. The requirements to qualify are the same as those for the Mivivienda loan.
3. Opportunity for self-employed workers. The country's banks already offer a mortgage savings account for those households that do not have documents that allow them to prove their monthly income.
According to the entity, interested parties will have to make monthly deposits for six or 12 months. At the end of the agreed period, they will have access to the loan and the savings will be used as a down payment.
4. Also for young people. Private banks and even the Mivivienda Fund are promoting the construction of apartments starting from 40 square meters aimed at young executives with the ability to pay.
Both the income required to access the loan and the amount of the loan will depend on the evaluation carried out by each financial institution.
